Snowdonia

Anglesey

Anglesey’s long-celebrated maritime culture means that it is home to many magnificent lighthouses, including Ty Mawr, a stunning white lighthouse which stands on the shores of Ynys Llandwyn, The Isle of Lovers. Another fantastic lighthouse is South Stack Lighthouse, which stands on an island jutting from Anglesey’s North Western edge.

Llyn Peninsula

The Llyn Peninsula is a wonderful area of North Wales, it resembles an arm extending far into the Irish sea towards Ireland with a small island of Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island). The perceived remoteness of the peninsula from urban life as meant that the location has a reputation and an unspoilt location for tourists and holiday home owners. It is the home of the Llyn breed of shed a hardy and prolific breed that is very prominent throughout the country thanks to the sheep’s hardy and mothering nature. The Llyn is famous for its gorgeous resort towns such as Pwllheli, Abersoch and much more.

Conwy

Conwy is the county of which you can find many wonderful seaside resorts, such as Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and the eponymous walled castle town of Conwy. Conwy is one of North Wales’ fantastic Castles. Did you know Wales has more castles per square mile than any other? This includes castles built by the Welsh themselves, as well as their enemies.
